Overcoming Your Limits by Facing Challenges

Overcoming Your Limits by Facing Challenges

We all have skills—some we enjoy using, some we don’t, and some we use daily.

Often, we fall into routines that provide us with a side income.

This routine requires competence, but sometimes, we lose our zeal.

We become restless, and the repetition leads to boredom.

When we lose focus, we often seek motivation through counseling websites, videos, and Ted Talks.

Despite feeling inspired, we don’t take action.

Our goals remain unmet, and we question whether it’s a lack of motivation or a mindset problem.

Proverbs 6:6 says, “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and be wise!”.

Ants work diligently during warmer seasons to prepare for the colder ones.

Unlike the grasshopper, which sings all summer and starves in winter, ants work hard to ensure survival.

So, why do we sometimes lose focus and get bored?

Often, we start something because we love the idea or admire someone else’s passion.

But when reality doesn’t match our expectations, we become disheartened.

It’s crucial to understand why we want to do something.

Knowing our reasons makes it less annoying and more meaningful to pursue our goals.

Sometimes, we lack inspiration.

We have plans and hobbies but get frustrated when things don’t go as expected.

In such situations, Proverbs gives us sound advice.

Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed.

Proverbs 16:3

Praying and seeking guidance can provide new ideas and help overcome limits.

We live in a judgmental society where people often discourage dreams based on their knowledge.

However, the Bible reminds us that, we can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.

If you have a dream, it’s because God placed it in your heart.

Don’t let others discourage you from fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.

To become a better version of yourself, write down your dreams and identify the skills needed to achieve them.

Look at Joseph’s life. He didn’t know how to lead when he received his dream, but through various trials, he developed the necessary skills.

Mark down the skills you need to learn and don’t worry about others’ opinions.

Keep quiet, stay positive, and pursue your purpose.

Be diligent and faithful in your work.

Pursue your goals like a treasure, even if it’s painful.

Remember, gold goes through fire to become pure, and a seed must die to grow into a tree and bear fruit.

Your limits are not excuses to avoid improving your skills.

You are unique, and you don’t need to follow the crowd.

Create something that reflects who you are.

Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be.

Matthew 6:21

Keep your passion burning and pursue your goals to arrive at a path to overcoming your limits.
